Accessibility
Lime Tree View is easily accessible with Newcastle and Durham Tees Valley Airports within the north. By accessing the main east coast rail line (Edinburgh/Kings cross) and departing at Darlington connecting to a local train station, Bishop Auckland where from Bishop Auckland bus station you can catch the Weardale Bus to Stanhope which disembarks at Stanhope market place out side the accommodation. The Weardale bus route can either take you up to Weardale to Killope Wheel.

Special interest holidays
Ideal for walking and cycling all year round. There is a selection of walking and cycling books at the accommodation. Ideal for family breaks with local parks, walks, river-fishing and open-air swimming pool. A good base for geologists and bird watchers, it is a place of scientific interest.

Travel
From the South continue North on the A1(M) until signs for A68, following signs for Corbridge. Travel through West Auckland to Toft Hill turning left at Pub - The Three Tunns, past Witton-le-Wear and through Fir Tree (13 miles) still following signs for A68. As you leave Fir Tree you will come to roundabout turn left towards Wolsingham on the A689. Continue on A689 through Wolsingham, Frosterley until you enter Stanhope past garage on the left.

Distances
Centrally located in the North East, running parallel to Teesdale near Hamsterley Forest and Barnard Castle. There is a wealth of places of interest for the ramblers among us. It is only 46 miles from the Lake District enjoying a beautiful scenic drive over the Pennines - well worth a visit. The historic city of Durham is 30 miles away. Newcastle and the Gateshead Metro Centre is approximately 25 miles and can be enjoyed for shopping, cinema, restaurants and museums.

Further details
At Stanhope you are surrounded by stunning scenery and spoilt for choice for things to do and places to visit. Within a short walk there are many town attractions in Stanhope itself. The River Wear is just around the corner with its ford to tip toe across and there are local pubs and shops to choose from along the Main Street. The Prisoner of War camp is a short drive away and Killhope Lead Mining Museum can be reached traveling West from Stanhope. With many places of interest along the way it comes highly recommended.

Booking notes
The accommodation is available to rent on a weekly basis all year round. Short breaks are also available off-peak. A non-refundable deposit of £100 per week will be required to secure the booking. Balance to be paid 4 weeks prior to the start of the holiday.
